History

I have been absent for sometime and do not know if Chris is still involved in the practical aspects of these forums. Many may think that all things simply drop out of cyberspace. There are many individuals who have put a great deal of time and effort into this facility and I think they should be acknowledged by means of some form of historical record.

The problem is that the necessary knowledge is in the hands of the hardworking few, who once again would be called upon for even greater effort in order to record that which is required. Any ideas ?

Chris posts from time to time.

You mean like an SVXN Hall of Fame?

I think a seperate page listing the greatest contributors of the site would be pretty neat.

Hi Trevor,
Good to see you back!

I agree with you. Chris and the hard work he has put into the site over the years deserves recognition, as do the other that were involved early on to "make it happen". I also agree that the few that work the hardest to keep this site going will be the ones that could and would end up doing even more for the site to document how we got started. And then again, one will also need the folks with the true knowledge of "how it all began" to put it together.
Randy, would you write up a brief history of the site? You are probably the best one to do it!!

Harry

I really like the idea of having soem sort of record of who started things, who contributed to stuff and all that. Mabey it can go in the once used for something then changed to the once (literally) used carfax section and be renamed. Mabey along with contributers to the site there can be a list of meet organizers (Such as the people who organized the 10th anniversery meet, for example) or reliable information sources or svx mechanics or something

Mabey like minibiographies for some of the main people and how they started their involvment might be intresting too
