You ain't seen nothing....

I wish I had pictures to show you. If you think that SVX looks bad, you should see the one this guy in Tampa has (had). Last time I was at the dealer, it was there and they said it was so messed up it wasn't worth repairing, so I am hoping it's in a junkyard.

Ok.... this guy had a '92 Teal LSL. Here's a partial list of the atrocities he committed to this car (I can't remember them all).

1) HUMONGOUS "Gran Turismo" logo on the hood in yellow.
2) Racing stickers all up and down the side of the car (again...yellow)
3) a TYPE R badge on the back. That is what disturbs me the most.
4) Chopped off resonator and cats
5) Gran Turismo "flags" on the headrests of the seats. They were stickers he stuck on (again...yellow).
6) Neon around the license plate
7) Black light inside
8) "Custom" exhuast that was so loud and awful sounding you wanted to cry when you heard it.
9) Each and every heat shield removed
10) Air intake
11) Botched ECU mod

I think he did this to make his car faster. But I blew him away. He messed it up that much. He even spent $3,000 on a tranny rebuild from Aamco (haha!) after I told him to go to the Subaru dealer. The tranny failed again and that was one of the reasons he finally was at the Subaru dealer.

The worst is that this guy took this car out every Saturday night with the rest of the "rice boys" to race around town. Shameful to have the SVX represented like that.

Sigh. It's like a classy lady tricked out and turned out to prostitution.

Angry AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

WHAT THE H-E-DOUBLE-HOCKEY-STICKS WAS THAT?!?!?!

That tacky butt windshield sticker has *GOT* to go. Although I believe Subaru actually uses the designation for the Impreza in Japan (hence my screenname), having "typeR" used like that is reeeeely embarassing. And don't get me started on that F*ing wing...

Man! That was awful ! Everyone knows that a wing like that should be chromed!

I know mine will be - if I have to spray it myself!

Uses for the wing

If I were a hunter, it would make a good place to tie a dead deer.

Next?

Another use

I was thinking of using that wing to hang my cloths to dry. My dryer in the building is not working too well.

loser!

That car belongs to the guy who organized the DC meet a couple of years ago. At the time, I didn't think he was very bright, and now he has proven me correct. The only person worse than Charles would be the person who buys the car. Some people have absolutely zero class.

perhaps the spoiler is supposed to compensate for something else he is lacking -- you know what I mean.

my interpretation would be:
SVX windshield decal advertises "Little Man Complex" or LMC for short.
16" rims, which he paid over $1400 for because he "liked the way they looked" indicates stupidity.
The rear spoiler and and exhaust tips with no custom exhaust represent his childhood insecurities of being beaten up by guys with V-tec civics.

You're not talking about Jester are you? I have a hard time believing he did *that* to his car!

I remember his car was that color, and I remember he had after market wheels (he sold the car last year I think (SVXit would have more details)... but he would have gotten *MUCHO* CRAP off that wing/sticker combo from SVXit, Maria and the rest of us. Especially considering he STARTED the yahoo club!!!!

Re: Who owned the car??

No, I don't think it was Jester.

There was a Charles that organized the '00 meet in DC. The only thing I recall was the convoy was broken up and was lost for a while.

Wasn't AreDub there? (Isn't he at every meet anyways?)
