Oh that's right, I had to pop the p brake on and off to get the driveline loose. It probably is brake drag.

This bolt is still stuck. Someone please break down the correct procedure for removing this thing before I start on the other side.

Re-tighten one of the inner bolts, that makes it easier to remove the outer bolt.

Bell housing bolts.
Hardest thing, ever. I don't see me getting this trans out in the next 5 hours.

Put the bolts back in from underneath. If you ever have to do it again, it will be that much easier.
There is a "How to" document for this whole thing ya know.

How many bolts are there supposed to be? I only see 3. --- I believe I have removed all the bolts as the motor has lurched forward a bit separating it from the trans.

Trans has been out and dripping oil all over the floor for bout an hour now.
I think I dropped the plug in the oil when I was draining it way back. Starting with the TCU Monday. --- In the shower I noticed Ihav rug burn on my back from sliding around under the car so much even though I had a T, a sweater, and a tough work shirt on. Ouch.

Its called shirt burn... I have dealt with it many times before. Did you disconnect the torque converter from the engine??

Wasn't that step six?
Or do you mean completely? It is still attached to the trans, I believe. I still have to get it out from under the car and towel off the mess it left but the trans is completely disconnected.

I haven't read that writeup in years, I have no idea what step is what
As long as the bolts are out it should disconnect easily... I have had a couple stubborn converts get sealed to the crank in the pilot bushing but its not very often. Tom |

Oh it came apart as soon as I loosened the top right bolt. Pulling it away was the hardest part.
Long bolts are looooooong.
