Water manifold o-rings

Can anybody think of any objections to coating these with blue sealant before re-installing the water manifold?

The O rings I am using are designed for the purpose, but perhaps a little thinner than stock, and I am wanting to ensure a good seal. Getting to the water manifold is not my favorite thing in the world.

I don't see much of an issue as long as you don't smear them with a whole crapload, just enough to make them stick.

Why not buy new OEM o-rings? they're not very expensive, and it would really suck to have to pull everything apart again if the ones you have don't seal properly. Just my $0.02
