Unhappy power steering pipes from rack to pump

I recently replace the steering rack in my 94 LSi and the replacement is fine but the feed line from the power steering pump to the rack has developed a pinhole leak. The replacement is no longer made by Subaru; does anyone have an aftermarket source (or Subaru dealer). If I need to have a line made, I need to know the size of the hose and what size fitting is used to connect the line to the rack? I've been told that it won't be easy because there is a curve in the line and we would need to use some flair fittings to connect segments of the line w/a high pressure hose or metal lines. All this is beyond me and my mechanic isn't rushing to do this without some info on fittings and hose diameter? Can any one help?
