Got clearance from the "BOSS"

I just got clearance from the boss to get the windows tinted on the SVX. wahooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I am going flat out black. Limo to be precise. I am going to do the Back, of course, and the non movable ones on the sides. Altough I do not wish to obstruct the mirrors so I think I might have to remove part of the front bottom slop of the upper window where it would cover the mirror. I will try to post a pic if I can draw a line on a pic so show where it would be.

Great news though. I drive way too much an dthe sun really blinds me at times.

Ciao
Wayne

I hope you all can see this. But follow the red line and that is where the cut would be on the tinting. The upper would be Black and the lower would be bare glass.

I borrowed the pic. Mine is Liquid Silver under black. I didnt have a pic good enough to use mine. Thanx.

Hmm mine is limo all around with a 5" sunshade as well. I really like it like that, I wouldn't personally cut the tint like you are saying.

Ryan,

My only thought was the tinting at night. Is it hard to use the mirrors at night. I know since the slop of the rear window will make the tint even darker. But with little light at night will it be hard to see.

But I really didnt want to either. That's the concern though.

Thanx for the replay

PS. Have you noticed how far up the top 10 I have climbed. For a newbe. yea Baby, YEA!

The mirrors are not a problem. At least I don't find them to be. The only time I can see a problem is when I'm turning a left hand turn onto a VERY dark street. Your eyes look right at that little side window to see where you are going and it is quite dark. It's up to you, I just don't know how well it would look.

True. If I ended up cutting it then didnt like it I would have to pay to have it redone.

Maybe I will go with one level lighter just for that reason.

Thanx man

it is illegal here to go past 35%

i have mine at 35% now and i honestly would not like them any darker....unless my car was black. i think you can too dark and it takes away from the way the car looks.

Tinting

I would agree with that. I was thinking of going less dark. The idea of cutting the tinting jsut donest sound very good to me.

I think I will have to keep thinking about it.

Thanx everyone

Percent of dark

Wayne, I don't know what % mine are (look in my locker for pic). The only problem I encounter is when I back up into the garage. In the day light I can barely see into the garage. At night the tint is great!!! Keeps those bright lights from the rear that bounce off the mirrors into your eyes toned way down. I have not experienced a problem with seeing anything at night to the rear.
