How tough is the crossmember
Well, my new to me SVX that bottomed out has more issues.
AS I knew, the oil pan was replaced, and both front headers were impacted by the rail track. Now I finally get under there and the drivers side control arm front mount was impacted too. It looks like the leading edge of the control arm bushing mount was a direct hit, and it bent the poop out of it, twisting it back. Would it be a good assumption that a crossmember was significantly impacted to need replacement? I don't think that the front tab (that the control arm attaches to) was hit bad. The control arm is of course destroyed, although the car is still driveable - the tire shows significant wear though. Whadda you think - crossmember? I know I am just asking for educated guesses, as I will get a mechanic to look at it - but I am just wondering how over my head I have become with this car. Otherwise it looks great just this morning's discovery makes me want to TIA
