Larry, you might have the highest mileage original 92 tranny, but not the highest mileage original tranny overall. My 95 has 164K on it's original tranny and someone else on here has one in the 170k range.

My '92 went 152k on the first tranny

Anyone else got any higher on a 92 or 93?

Eventually we need to sum up all the records! Perhaps I'll add them to the SVXipedia.

OK, someone tell me I'm not the only one that did this. I bought plane tickets to Nevada and plan on driving home in a car that I have never seen in person.

My old '92 went 189k on the tranny before it went to FWD. Lotta hard driving all its life and a lotta manual shifting before she went. I learned my lesson that time and am now babying the new car.

Not to take anything away, but I still think that I have reached the highest speed in an SVX on land at a GPS recorded speed in excess of 170+. The SVX speedo was buried at 160.

I've been at 155 according to the svx speedo. It's really slow going from there. How long and where did you reach 170? (Not doubting you, just curious)

Right outside of Reno, Nevada at about 5:30 in the morning. Took a while once I got to 150 mph. I think overall, getting up to speed took about 10 miles once I started from 80. Went for about 20 miles at 160-170 and called it off as I neared Winnemucca.

At 170mph, 15 miles from anything is still pretty near, eh?
