More wheel questions...

Alright. I bought two Chrysler Crossfire wheels today at a flea market. I paid $10 each And there were literally no problems with them. Straight, no cracks, no chips/bends, just a bit of light curb rash. Either way, for ten dollars I couldn't just let someone else get them when I could make profit on them... I realize these are staggered (these are the fronts), so I found someone else selling the fronts on craig's that I'm picking up Wednesday. If all else fails, I'll just sell these and make a pretty penny off of them. ANYWAY. They are 18x7.5, +35mm, but 5x112... I went out to my car to see if they would slide on since there's only a 2.3mm difference. They just about slid on, and I know if I used a mallet they would have. Here's my idea: If I were to bore out these holes about 1mm bigger each they would be able to slide on. To balance them, I would get some hub-centric rings and wobble nuts. I've read some stories about people doing this on other forums, so I think I'm going to take a shot at it. I mean, I paid ten bucks for it, why not try it? I LOVE they way they look too. Has anyone else tried this in the past? And again, I'm not redrilling these, I'm just boring the holes slightly bigger. Thoughts?
