oki, heres my x-mas story. i am home for two weeks with no parents and keys to all cars including my sister svx. so i take said svx to go get motor mounts for my t-leg which no longer has any, i drive 10 miles, 9 of which were cruising speed on the freeway at speed and suddenly the engine starts revving freely when i hit the gas, so i figure great i just killed another transmission i pull over, car wont move in any gear. so i figure lets try for limp mode, i turn the car off, and funny thing, it won't start. it sounds like the starter solenoid isn't engaging. so it being cold as H3!! i get the car towed back to my house, and i pull the starter off so i can go get another. i decide for what ever reason, that i am going to check the teeth on the torque converter to see if they by chance are missing, they are not, and in fact look/feel perfect. so i begin rotating the torque converter through the starter hole, and all the teeth are perfect... so yeah after about 2 inches of teeth i realize the tq converter is no longer connected to the flex plate. so i spin the crank till i see a bolt hole, only theres still a bolt in it, infact there are four holes with bolts in them, i found this out right before i went back to bed yesterday. so merry x-mas to me

the actualy spots on the torque converter where it bolts to the flex plate broke. no one i have talked to has ever seen this before, on the brighter side i haved a spare converter and flexplate.
