Selling my beloved '97 LSi
It's time. Circumstances have provided me with a brandy new Legacy GT Sedan. The new car is a joy to drive and with 250HP it really moves. It's still NOT an SVX, however. My 'old' SVX is now relagated to the garage, where I thought I'd store it forever. Then reality set in and I want that space for a possible new addition.. but that's another story.
My '97 has 158K miles and was featured in the 2nd "SVX" Calendar way back in 2002 (October) which, of course I have along with the 2001 calendar. In addtion to the car I want to pass along all the 'collector's items' I have aquired over the years including: 1) An incomplete die cast model (rare indeed) 2) Road and Track's Guide the the New Subaru SVX (mint condition) 3) 1997 Dealer Product Information Package 4) 1992 Dealer SVX Info Brochure - 9X11" multipage color 4) Sept 1991 Motor Trend (article on SVX) 5) May 1992 Autoweek (article on SVX) 6) Two spare tires in near new condition 7) Spare rim in so-so condition The car itself has seen a few years on the body and now has a few bodywork issues. The rear bumper needs new paint and there's 'moderate' dent in the rear corner. A dent in the rear passenger quarter panel. A scuff on the front drivers quarter that is barely noticable. These are relatively easy to fix for the do-it-yourselfer in my opinion. From a distance they are not 'too' bad, but need to be fixed in my opinion - especially the one in the rear. I loved the back of this car and hated when that one happened. Entirely my fault, but that' yet another story. It needs new back brakes for which the OEM parts (pads and rotors) are in the trunk. I just haven't gotten around to replacing them yet. ALL other maintance items are up to snuff. I have ALL the records since I bought it in 2000 from a dealer. The car runs perfectly and the list of recent repairs and replacements is long (typical SVX), but includes: Brand new BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires all around New timing belt, oil and water pump. New air conditioner compresser ($$) New RH cat ($$) New LH front brake caliper .. and some other 'newer than orginal' stuff which I can go into detail with the interested person. Please write back here, or better, send me an email at jeffscorse@verizon.net. I think blue book says around 3-4K, but I can negotiate. I realize that the brakes need to be done and there are some cosmetic issues, but with all the new stuff on the car I think it'd be a great car for years to come. Beautiful and seriously fun to drive. I'll miss her. Jeff

Hey Ryan
You're local I see. I've probably seen you around as there aren't too many SVXs around here. What do you mean too many miles? At 158K miles I think she's just a baby. They're all highway miles going to work in Woburn, and the paint shows it, but the engine runs perfectly. Plus there's all sorts of new parts on it.
What are you driving now?
