Radiator fan/relay question

Ok... Have some serious electrical gremlins in my svx. I posted another thread about it, actually taking a trip shortly to mt, a friend's dad there owns an auto electric business, so i'm gonna have them figure it out lol.
My question is: Can I jump the fan relay so that they're always running with the key?
I basically don't have a problem as long as the car's moving, but if i have to sit in traffic it gets hot...

Somewhere along the line I lost the fuse/relay cover under the hood. So i actually have no clue which is the fan relay. Can someone post a pic? Which terminals would I jump to keep the fans going with the key? Thanks guys

Re: Radiator fan/relay question

Yes. You can run it to your ignition. Just splice in behind the connectors, and run the line to a spot under the interior fuse panel. Probe around with a multimeter to find the a spot (white plastic) that is the positive source. It should only be hot when the key is forward. You can ground the wires anywhere, but I am not sure if it is necessary or not. They may already be grounded.

Re: Radiator fan/relay question

Fan fuses would be top left 2 fuses as you face the driver. Right next to a set of 4 relays. Top is main fan and under that is A/C sub-fan. I'm currently replacing my sub-fan as it's blowing it's fuse due to high resistance in the fan itself, drawing about twice the current specified. If you wire up direct through the ignition you risk damaging other components and wiring. Just my $.02.
