Another SVX ruined to make a Buggy!

There is someone here (Paraguay) that used the engine from his 93 SVX to make a Buggy for racing 1/8 mile, he is now selling the car, without computer and wiring harness for 2000 USD, he also accepts another car for direct trade.. what do you think guys, should i buy this one? I was thinking that at least i can put an impreza engine and harness there and make a good runner of it, as getting a EG33 here is very hard. Ideas?

If the body is in good shape, and you have the desire, and the funds, why not?

Even if the car stays in shape to wait for a body-damaged SVX to combine the two..

An EJ22 or EJ25 turbo engine, tuned to 250-300hp would be interesting, though.

There are 5 SVX in Paraguay, one of them is the red one i own, its very hard to find a damaged one here, but installing a EJ25 with manual is easy as we have plenty of WRC/STI Imprezas here. I will need the complete harness and computers too :S

That can be made, i think those engines are smaller and will fit well, also they are very powerfull, and since they are 6 cyl, there car will feel the same, just a bit more powerful depending on what engine i chose. I can bring the engine and harness directly from Japan, trough Chile, in fact i can ask for a half car, and they cut the car in half in Japan and send just the front part, from the middle of the cabin, pretty cheap.
I can do the same to bring the SVX engine, or half car, but i just dont want to kill a car in Japan to fix one here, so thats not an option to me.
