Switching seat bottoms L <---> R ???
I'm beginning to see traces of wear on the driver's seat. Must be the effect of "personal gasses."
Can I pull the two seats and swap the bottoms? It worked on a Mustang years ago... |

I was looking at my seats yesterday and was wondering the same thing. I really do not see why just the covers could not be switched. I will have to look into it further.

Not just the covers: the whole "biscuit"
I didn't mean to switch the leather cover - that would require opening all the hogrings, etc., that hold it in place. A total PITA to get right.
On other cars, in years gone by, I've removed the entire bottom seat upholstery assembly, springs and all - which I believe in the trade is called the "biscuit." If they're switchable, one could remove both seats, lay them upside down, free the biscuits, swap them, and reinstall -- all in an hour or so. |
