I'm an Engineer too.

I'd like to add one.

You think the SVX is the best car in the world, and you've spent way more than its worth to make it go faster.

That is because it is for proper engineers, not computer engineers

Mere 40 bit logic. I scoff at such trivial child's play. Haruumph!

Wow, maybe that major change was unnecessary?

Colleges no longer use HP calculators. Most use TI's now. The TI-89 is the most common. I have the older (and cheaper on ebay) TI-92. Its huge! Ti-92 (wow prices drop during the semester! I bought mine for more than twice that in august!) its amazing what it can do once you learn its buttons (before that its hard to make the stupid thing add 1 plus 1)

Not sure what's scarier...the fact you knew this or the fact that I took that number out of my head?

A TI-92 will literally do integration by parts in one deft swoop. Just enter, and set your boundaries. Amazing.
I never did learn how to use them, I got stuck on HP decades ago.

I studied college calc in HS but decided to retake it in college since it was considered a junior level class where i study (tech school). At first i freaked out that they wanted me to buy a 300 dollar calculator to study the exact same thing i studied in HS with an 80 dollar calculator (which we all thought were expensive then. How wrong we were) Then we started using it and holy ****! It does it all! Its well worth the beginning of the semester price. I'll miss it when i switch over to accounting and drop down the the lower level math classes that use my old HS calculator (Yeah i'm going backwards. )

Shucks... I must be getting real old. I still remember when we weren't allowed to even bring calculators into class with us in high school. In later years (high school) with more advanced Calculus, we were only allowed basic ones without any programming functions. How times have changed.

I still have my old calculator somewhere. It can only add, subtract, multiply, divide, and play Blackjack.
