I'm seriously considering getting the Stebro complete Cat-back system.
If I do, how difficult/simple is installation? Is it "plug and play?" I don't have access to a lift and may end up having Midas do the install....

You can do it yourself...its a bolt on system.

All you need is some good quality jack stands and a wrench. Don't pay someone to do it for you. Or if you have a friend in the Military have them get you on a base and use the Auto Hobby shops. It's usually like $4 an hour for a lift and to use their tools.

Good point about the Military...I am a reservist and hadn't even considered the auto hobby shop until you mentioned it!
One last Stebro Question: My '96 has the 3 O2 sensor setup....will the Stebro accomodate that?

I don't see why not. It hooks up to the 3rd cat (the 2-1). SO you won't have to remove any O2 sensors.

I recommend shooting all the nuts and bolts with Liquid Wrench the night before taking off the old exhaust. It will make removing the nuts/bolts much easier. My Stebro center pipe didn't have a way to properly mount the donut gasket that goes between the cat and the center pipe. I had to take the center pipe to a welder and have him weld in a small piece of pipe what would hold the gasket in place. The piece I had welded is the piece of tubing sticking out past the flange. It centers the donut gasket and keeps it from collapsing inward.

Umm. Nope I got my 17x8's for $135 on ebay
Theyre so smooth, even the valve stem is hidden under the center cap. I might be interested in picking up a Stebro for the Pearlie. Have to see how things work out. Anyway, this thread is about your things, not mine.

Choice
"I'm seriously considering getting the Stebro complete Cat-back system-Wynndi"
You actually have a choice. You can just buy the Stebro system from the stock cat back or you can replace the stock cat with the Stebro Euro Resonator or the Stebro free flowing cat. The Stebro is either a 2 or 3 piece system depending on what you decide. Lee

Thanks for the tip. I completed the cat-back order today. They are committing to a 7~10 day turnaround. I cannot wait to hear the sound match the power of our Boxer 6s!

Dan (DZA), did you get the 2 or 3 piece kit? Are there any leaks?
