auto seat belt problem

any suggestions on repair of the auto shoulder belt, which on my 92 will not engage? it's only the driver's side, and no, it aint the fuse, checked that first.

I ma not sure what you mean by won't engage. Do you mean it will not clip/snap into the release buckle? Do you mean it is stuck at one end of the travel along the door?

Unhook the battery for at least 15 minutes or so as the unit holds power for some time when disconnected. That will reset the system. If that doesn't work there are otherthings to try that I'll explain later.

Unhappy

all right, so it took almost two weeks for me get off my a** and disconect the batttery for 15 minutes. of course, that did not change anything (save for the radio settings and the time). the retractor just sits up at the front of the window and smerks at me. other suggestions apppreciated.
