4 pot WRX front calipers...damn, wouldn't these be sweet with larger discs on the front

Red face

the calliper will bolt straight onto the svx hubs, a spacer of 4mm (i think i'll need to check and confirm any measurements i quote) between the calliper and the and mounting lugs moving the calliper out to the centre of the rotor you will need to buy new rotors they will be 26mm thick 2mm thinner then the svx and 330mm in diameter larger then the svx (again, these measurements need to be checked). the larger diameter is a good thing. i have 18x8 rims with 35mm offset and that combo fits perfectly i don't know how original rims fit. i will have check my measurements again to give you accurate figures because it's been nearly two years since i did the project. i hope this all makes sense, i can draw a diagram measurements if you like

So with simple work, the STi Brembo will bolt up along with the disks? That sounds pretty promising. Anyway could you take some pics so we can all see what you are talking about. I need to get in touch with the guy who sold me my 6 speed and see if he can come across some brakes

Alright "E" ... Great to see that some WRX 4 pots have already been done ... AND done by a fellow AUSSI!!!

I am waiting till I get back from my trip to Australia next year before I am gonna start messing with the SVX again. However, when I do it is gonna be a set of 05+ STI Brembo's that are gonna go under the knife... I may even turn it into an engineering project through "Wolfpack Motorsports"... ... Hopefully I can get alittle help through school and the best engineering department in the southeast

Good luck to all out there doing brake upgrades... Looks like the Subaru 4 pots (Ones from the new WRX since they wern't on USDM WRS's till now) are the easiest AND CHEAPEST way to go... From what I hear, all 4 calipers can be had for around $600... it is then all about taking one of your SVX Hubs from the front and rear to a machine shop and getting them to fabricate a bracket for you.

Post pics and details on any installs

I am trying to contact the guy who sld me my trans. He sells the Sti brakes for a decent price. I should be able to get them fairly soon and see what exactly is going on. I know where I can pick up an extra set of hubs also to put on the bench

I've been watching NASIOC's for sale forum for a while looking for a set of brembos (05-06) for a well below normal price...no luck though

E we need to see some pictures of that upgrade. If you can detail them, we would be able to all convert our brakes and put the procedure in How-to for all members to see...
