New tires on the way. Got my SVX Back

Well after a lot oc research, and given what tires where available to me I decided to go with the Yokohama AVS ES100. Size is 225/50ZR-16 92W BSW of course, on stock rims. They are RZ rated tires. Then on the 27th of July I am going to head up to Infinion Race Way here in the S.F. Bay Area and run the strip a few times.

Also, I am getting my baby back today from the little dealer I got it from. They CLAIM they have fixed the drum portion of the back breaks and ordered a new hub plate along with all that. I plan on inspecting it personally. Then this weekend it is time to install the 8-pass tranny oil cooler.

THanks for all your help guys.

- Jason

Congrats. Good luck at the strip on 7/27. What are your current mods?

Thanks,

Right now the car is totally stock. But I am adding an 8 pass tranny oil cooler this weekend, and I am getting the impression that the smallcar.com shift kit is a good idea, that it will not only firm up the shifts, but as a result of firmer shifting, cause less wear and heat during shifting, thus resulting in longer engine life.

The tires that are on it now are just old and tired (pun NOT intended). Kind of a pumpy ride actually. I think they have lifed out their life on a car with a bad allignment. Si they are warn oddly and are also long over due for a rotation. Who every owned mine before me did not take very good care of it. THis weekend I am getting 4 tires and an allignment. I figured if I am going to pay 400+ dollars on a set of tires I am going to want them to last.
