There are no high voltage spark plug wires for the SVX. The SVX uses a "coil on plug" ignition system. There are six coils, each attached directly to a spark plug. The wires going to the coils do not need to be replaced.

The best plug is debateable. The original plugs looked perfect when I removed them. No sign of wear or shortcircuit at all. I'm using the Bosch Platinum +4 at the moment. I think it ran better when I changed them, but its hard to say. Another good plug would be the Denso Iridium plug.

Same thing happened to me. I replaced my plugs a few months ago, the originals looked fine, but it seems to run better now. I used iridium plugs, I forget the brand. I got them from Dayle at motorsport.

I changed to the +4s about 25k miles ago, they were on sale and locally available at the time. Plus, I had no idea if the original owner had ever changed out the plugs, so I did it for "insurance".

No issues since then, my mileage has remained very stable at around 20.5mpg when just doing my normal day to day commuting.

Coils...

Hey guys...sorry to ask dumb questions...

Does anyone have a picture(s) of what the coils/looks like? or pics of that area?

y car has not had a tune up in like 30k miles according to the original owner..and it has a slight miss in the engine.

Thansk, mike

If you look in the How-To Documents , it will have a full how to and pictures of the coils. Good luck with the project.

I replaced my plugs with the OEM NGK platinums (PFR6B-11) at 133k miles. The originals were dirty, but all were gapped to spec and gapped identically. I couldn't say whether or not I saw a performance increase or anything because my car had been in storage all winter when I did the work.

I will say that going 30k miles without a 'tune-up' is hardly difficult for the EG33. The plugs are supposed to last at least 100k miles and mine were fine at 133k. If your engine is missing, I would find out whether or not your ECU is storing any fault codes.
