Engine, Tranny etc. question

Not sure which forum this should go in but i'll ask here, i have the opportunity to buy an svx that was rear-ended. Its got 45k miles on the engine tranny and everything. How much would you guys think an engine/tranny combination, or broken up by themselves worth be worth?
How much does a good windsheild go for as well as other glass?
Steering rack?
4 wheels with good tires?
whole interior?
hood, doors etc.?
suspension?
rear diff?

I wanna know if its worth buying this.
thanks

-Alex

Engine should get you about 500-800 depending on what shape it's really in. The tranny could pull like $2000 if you can convince someone it's going to last. Windshield should fetch a good price (new ones are over $1000 i think), if you can get it out in one piece.

Overall the SVX makes an excellent income as a parts car. Please let us know more details (year, trim level, options), I may be interested in some of those interior pieces.

so $1000.00 for the whole car would be a worthwhile investment?

It really depends on how much time you want to spend parting out the car....
If engine and tranny or good, you'll get your money out of it...

Is it worth your time and effort to break the car apart???

I would say go for it.
