broken key how to start
We broke our key in our SVX. Locksmith could not remove and he wanted up to $700 to replace switch assembly. I could not get switch out. Does anyone have a used ignition switch and instructs on how to replace. Or can anyone tell us how to hot wire to an external switch. I have access to the four wires at the back of the ignition switch. I hate to ruin the cars appearance but need to get back on the road. Our 93 SVX is in great shape and we have even considered rebuiding the transmission to keep it tip top. any comments?

Go to a different locksmith
trust me They make tools specifically for this problem you should be able to get any broken key out of the cylinder. I do stuff like that for a living...well repo cars. so go to a different locksmith. It is easier with the cylinder out of the car by the way. |

Umm, I don't want to be the negative one, but with the amount of SVXes stolen recently I don't think it is wise to point out how to start a car without the original ignition. No offense ros, but this is your first post.
