Front sway bar end link - Moog K9828

Guys,

I saw a thread that talked about using one of the Moog K9828 end links up front. But I don't know if anyone actually has installed this part up front. Main reason for doing this: cost saving of $20/each vs OEM units. OEM cost $50/per end link vs $30/end link.

I picked one of these up from NAPA last week and did a comparo. Found out that the hole diam of the two attachment points need to be enlarged on the car from 8mm to 10mm. The Moog part is about 1.5" shorter than the factory end links. I don't think this will be an issue but does anyone see this being a problem?

Drilling through the hardened steel of the anti-sway bar was a time consuming P.I.T.A!

Ahh, so you did end up doing this mod! Too cool. I assume no interference issues with anything due to the shorter end links?

The front anti-sway bar end links that I tried were for a Mini, and I am not sure of the part #.
I believe that my rod was as long as the factory one.

You got a p/n or a link to your end links?

Even better than a link, I have a set of stock mini endlinks up for sale in the classifieds
I am currently using a set of powergrid adjustables that where left over from selling my mini.
The rear endlinks from a mini fit the front of the Svx

The Powergrid ones are intriguing actually. That maybe a viable option for the Bontrager rear sway bar since I'm going through the OEM rear links quickly.

I'll head over to the classifieds now.
