Corner Sagging=Spring or Koni??
I've noticed the last month that the left(driver) rear corner has dropped nearly 3/4" from level. The Koni's have been in the car about 18 months and the car is not abused in any way. Has anyone else experienced this symptom, and or fixed it?
Koni warranty requires a "deposit" of half the retail price and shipping the original to them for verification of a warranty issue and refund if verified. As my daily driver I'd like to keep the car operational as much as possible, with parts ready depending on my findings when disassembled. Doing the rebound test that corner seems to drop less when loaded, but does rebound and settle, and no noticeable symptoms while driving. Ideas/Opinions please? Has anyone got a good set of rear stock springs they might want to part with? Glenn

The strut does not determine ride height. It's going to be a spring or a strut mount.
Do you have ground control's?

David,
Nope, just stock springs. The car has lived it's life in Cali and no rust on the mounts when I did the swap. No noise. Glenn

If the shock is seized it could effect ride height. Does it make noise if you push down on or lift the corner of the bumper?

Michael,
No, it seems to compress less when pushed down, but rebounds smoothly and settles. I'm thinking I may have somehow damaged or fatigued the spring when I compressed it to do the strut install. That's the way I'm leaning. Thanks to Matt in Brooklyn for the offer of his OEMs when he's done lowering his '97. Think I'll check out the local recycler first to maybe save on the shipping. The mounts were in great shape. Glenn
