Tranny fluid leak

I have a 92 SVX that has 154,000 mile on it and have had it about 1 and a half months. It has a tranny leak that I have not been able to locate. It is not from the pan as I have changed the fluid and replaced the pan gasket. It appears to be coming from, aft of the pan, higher up on the aft part of the tranny before it meets the drive shaft. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know where it might be from? The vehicle seems to shift fine, and does not seemed to be delayed in shifting from park to drive or from park to reverse; it shifts in about 1/2 to 1 second.

There's a seal for the output shaft. This is what's leaking. Mine did this before I upgraded to a 5 spd. It sprayed oil all over the heat shield. I probably even have the seal still.

Tranny leak

I do not think my output shaft is leaking because the fluid is foward of the drive shaft area, just behind the the pan. When it sits after shutting off, I notice fluid leaking at the bottom point of the tranny case, but it appears that the fluid is leaking from up top of the tranny from some where. Does this still sound like the output shaft seal? If so do you have to remove the tranny to fix the leak?
