I didn't think it was all that bad until you mentioned the roof and forward dent on the side. That is not good news. I hope you can get it fixed. Good luck. Keep us posted on the progress.

Ok let me tell you how this damage should be fixed:

1- The bodyworker should take the front bumper off the car and should hook chains going from the right side chassis to a fixed chassis pole.

2- He should pierce the right side rear fender on its very edge and into that device used to pull backwards and starts pulling little by little while letting the metal rests each 30mins - 1 hour between pulls.

3- The rear fender pops out and the dent (I guess appearing on the roof on the level door/panel) also disappears

4- The bodyworker has to do the rear damage either by straightening it or replacing the damaged section at the level of the taillight.

Update!

Ok, so here’s where I’m at now.
I took it to two body shops, one quoted me close to $6000 and the other was $4200, both of which would total it.

The insurance company is offering me $4100 (I’m working on getting a little more), and I can buy it back for $800 (without a salvage title). I could probably get it fixed for about $3000 if I acquire some parts myself. At first I was dead set on fixing it, but the more I thought about it, I realized I’ll never be able to get $4100 for it. I wouldn’t have even gotten that before the accident… I’d buy it back and part it out, but I have no place to store it. If anyone else wants it (for the hood or seats or something), I’d consider buying it back and reselling it. It’s drivable.

So it looks like I’m in the market for another SVX.
Problem now is, I need SOMETHING before June. Anyone with an SVX for sale in the Midwest, let me know. Thanks!

Wow you got hit a lot harder than I did.
My damage was repaired at over $5000.

I think you are looking at over $7000 in damage at AK rates.

edit: Eh I'm guessing those quotes didn't include your bumper cover. Mine was trashed.

Kelly Blue Book has this car retailed at $5,345 with 160K, FWD in TX zip. The insurance company needs to fork over more money. There is also your time in locating a new SVX and the added expense of the trip to get it too. Ask about depreciated value too. Your insurance company can get involved to help you too.

Unfortunately the insurance company (State Farm) uses the NADA value which is like $4200 (for the high value). And they're pretty dead-set on only giving me $4100 for it...

Good news is, I decided to fix it. The body shop is giving me a sweet deal, $3750 to fix the rear end damage, the hail damage, and a full repaint! So in 3 weeks or so, I should have brand-new looking SVX, on the exterior anyways.

Oh it will.
I just wish I had a little extra $$. I had wanted to put on a lip spoiler and maybe a JDM wing whenever I got it painted, but oh well.

BTW, I'm not painting the hood and I'm not putting the stock spoiler back on either.

That is great news Nathan. I am glad to hear you will still have your SVX.

What is wrong with the stock spoiler. I moved mine back and it looks so bad ars.

That's cool that you're getting it fixed. Do you need a trunk lid? I have one, but it's silver. Might cost a bit to ship down there too.
