That also explains why they are so heavy. Either way i feel safe.
Someone should cut open a parts car svx and take a few pictures to compare. (the engineer in me really wants to compare the 2)

You should have seen the old subaru my mother had that got pushed under another vehicle and then had two trucks find their way on top of the mess. I think that was the first thing that made me think of subaru as one of the safest vehicles on the road. To be honest I can't remember if it was a loyal or a legacy, but it was a wagon. My father was selling subarus at the time, so we had alot of them, but I'm pretty sure it was a 90 legacy. I remember seeing the pictures from the wreck and thinking to myself that my mother wouldn't be here if she was in any other car. They had to cut the door off to get her out, but she didn't have a single scratch, bruise, scrap, nothing. The rescue crew was just shocked.
