When I was looking for my SVX I only found one... I went to look at it and later made an offer that they bumped up just a little... I paid 9k in 1999, and I drove 6 miles across town to get it

Didn't go far for my SVX but since I bought it:

1. 10th Anniversary Meet - 2000 miles round trip
2. Reading 4 - 3200 miles round trip
3. Reading 5 - 3200 miles round trip

8400 miles

Also planning on going to the Dabob meet this year (at least 3400 miles round trip)

you will love the distance. This car is by far very best car to be driven on the highway, smooth ride and power to boot. Not to mention the handling isn't too bad either

I did enjoy all of the trips that I took to get home. It was a bonding experience and every time I look at one of them, I remember the trip and experiences along the way.

I remember my trip home with mine:

It was about 50 miles and my dad was driving because I didn't have my license yet. We were driving extra slow because the plates that we put on it were from an 89 Camry. I remember being passed on the highway by a school bus, and mumbling to go faster.

I dunno, it had 75K on it when I bought it in 99 and it has 140K on it now. And I only drove it one winter. You do the math.

I bought my '92 Claret November '05, un-driven and sight unseen, it was in San Diego. In January we flew from St. Louis to LA (2,000 miles.) Then we took a cruise down to Acapulco and back, with several stops along the way - well, she said if I get the SVX then she gets the cruise (3,500 miles.) We then picked up the red beauty and headed back to St. Louis, driving about 250 miles on old Route 66 (wonderful ride!) and stopping at the Grand Canyon and various other Southwest sights along the way (2,400 miles.)

Total distance to get my first (and only SVX) was 7,900 miles, the trip was priceless (and I'm still paying for it.)

NeedFor Speed (Ron) is flying from Sacremento to Baltimore, and driving to Ocean City to meet up with me to get my SVX, and then will be driving it back home. what a psychopath! that would be a cool trip, though - the SVX is built for high-speed highway travel. i know it will be in good hands.
