You will find instructions on the Supercooler site if you Google a bit. From memory, the best way is with the two pipes, feed and return into the side which would be vertical. If the feed pipe is going in the top side, the thick oil[when cold] will make its way directly to the outlet. Only when it heats up and thins out does it make its way into the cooling columns. Doing it the way you mention might defeat this process. Easily checked up though, if you find the right website.
