Hot and hotter - heater

I think a thermostat has gone on the heater. On "auto" a temp setting of 66 - 75 blows hot air up, 75 - 88 it blows hot air down.

Is this easy to fix?

Blowing

Hi AJB, Thats the way it works. Subaru thought it would be a bad idea to have hot air blowing in your eyes. Thinking it would dry them out. However, if you have no modulation of the temp
then nevermind. Take care, BOBB

P/S On my SVX the change over is around 70/71 degrees. "B"

When you say "blows hot air up" do you mean through the defrost or the vents?
