Did I blow my engine?

Just got back home and my engine was smoking. Checked the oil and there wasn't any and seems like there's oil all over the bottom of the car?

You'll have to provide more information. Does the engine run? Does it make any unusual noises? From where did the oil appear to leak? When was the last time you gauged the oil level?

Thanks Mike. Turns out it was my radiator hose. My anti freeze was all over the place and since it was dark I thought the slippery liquid was oil. With my nose all clogged up from the flu I couldn't even smell anything.

oopsie!! Well, at least it was a little problem. I guess that makes looking stupid worth it. Just kidding, buddy.

Best of luck with that hose... Oh, and if your coolant was dark, it is probably time to flush that cooling system!!

Keep that SVX in tip-top shape!

I think he meant that it was dark outside.

And, once it's been sprayed all over the bottom of a car, any coolant looks dark.

That's absolutely something to look into. Of course it was dark outside. If the oil was just really clean it might have been difficult to read. You also don't get an accurate reading if you just parked the car. Maybe his driveway isn't level.

Or maybe it's just all leaking out.
