Bruno, are you planning on doing any modifications to her? Did you do any to your Camaro? So, you raced your dad in the SVX against him in the Camaro? He didn't beat you up to 62 mph/100 km/hr? I actually had a friend with a '96 Camaro RS... he always took me by a couple car lengths by the time he hit 60 mph, but the SVX blew by at around 70-75 mph. I loved how he made excuses that he had all of his stereo equipment in it and it weighed it down... then I told him that the SVX weighed a significant amount more, so he felt stupid and later said he had his A/C on. Yeah, whatever.
Glad to hear you have a good mechanic. I think they are fairly hard to find for any car, let alone the SVX. Don't be a stranger around here. There are lots of really nice and helpful people. Also, this is a pretty tightly knit group with lots of informative and entertaining things to talk about. Feel free to share.

I've already ordered a hi-flow air intake for the SVX... I'm looking for more performance parts but it doesn't look that they're many online shop that carry SVX parts.
if my AT goes out I'll probably do the 5-speed conversion but the past owner changed the AT 3000 miles ago so. The camaro was stock except for the exhaust.... The RS has the 3.42 diff like the Z28...mine has the 3.23, that's probably why your friend beat you for the 0-60 mph.... ...and thank you for being really welcoming. I'll try not to remain a stranger |

Welcome. I bought my tires in la ville du Quebec. Have been through la belle provence many time & never have seen an SVX there.
