Low self esteem?? Is that like a mid-life identity crisis where you go out and buy yourself something fast and furious like a Neon?? [/QUOTE]

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I will point out this link:

Yeah, and neither have the room for the ventolin inhaler I'll need once I'm done with that cigarette.

Thanks for the link Rob. Interesting sport. Smaller cars are bound to do better on a tighter circuit, they are more adroit. The fastest of the day was a 1962 Turner! A friend of mine locally has one of those.

I would expect also in a sport like this, driver skill will make a big difference, not just the cars. Neither the 300ZX TT or the Mazda RX7 TT could do well in this, both rear drive with enough excess power to unstick the back. If you can't keep the back in line on a tight circuit, you are losing large fractions of a second on every turn.

BTW, I like Neons. We have them here, and I always liked them. They have a balanced design, and good power for the market sector.

Joe

The fastest on the day was the Turner, quickest run was 41.876.

Quickest run for the Neon was 43.873, a pretty significant 2 seconds slower.
