Paulo [Tone] lives in Porto in Portugal. I am not aware of any members living in Spain, but it is possible somebody could be on holiday there.

Long shot, though, I would say.

Galicia is directly north of Portugal.

Smile Not that far!

Hi Chris.

It would be wonderful to meet with you.

I live precisely to the North of Portugal and I take about one hour drive max to get to the center of the Galicia province through a direct highway.

Just let me know the name of the city your Brother lives in and I am sure we will arrange something.

How about driving an Euro specs yellow SVX?

Paulo

Thumbs up Gotcha!

Just checked the location and found it (I think...).

Please see the attached pics.
In one of them you'll see a line with an end at my location and the other ot O Grove.

It looks like you're heading to a small peninsula seaside edge.
It looks almost like an island.
In fact there are a lot in this coast area.

I know very well the whole Galicia province but never been in this particular O Grove place.

Check also this link: http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichel...=21&image.y=12

Along the Route Plan you can click the various maps for the locations.

Let me check which dates I may be available and we will arrange something including a short trip to Portugal to show you around.

All this on my SVX, I hope.

Paulo

Talking I wish the ride was 5+ hours...

No worry about the ride time.
After all the it's gonna be on a SVX.

Regarding your girlfriend objections I am sure I will come as a good surprise.
Will she feel better if I post a picture of my two kids and my wife so she can see how much a Family guy I am?
Just joking.

Anyway my plan, although a bit early to confirm, would be something like the following two options:
#1 - One day option - Meeting in Spain (O Grove) on Monday morning and then have a cruising trip until Portugal to show you one or two nice places and then go back at the end of the day.
#2 - Two days option - Meeting in Spain as option #1 but coming down to show you my city (Porto), spend the night there, continue the sightseeing in Porto and then bringing you home again by the end of the second day.

No rush, just having a nice time and cultural interchange.

All theses options will include nice lunches and/or dinners with warm red wine or ice cold beer.

Let me know which one you are more inclined to.

Paulo

Let me know the one day thing is probably better since I'm spending $100 a night for the hotel adn its pre paid ! I dont know how I can contact you once I'm, there because there's a 99% chance I wont have my cell phone with me (for the first time in like 10 years) but Nextel wants $225 down and $1.99 a minute which is crazy

Don't know this particular hotel but if it is a regular *** one sounds a bit expensive.

Saw your PM and sent you one in return.

The hotel ended up being $70 euro a night but it sucked since it didnt have a/c and the free continental breakfast had no eggs in sight

Smile Hello my Friend

Hi Chris, glad to hear from you.

Goods news the hotel ended up being much cheaper than anticipated.
You should know a typical Spanish breakfast is plain butter and bread.

For everybody to know: We had a great time meeting last Friday in Spain and travelling to Portugal and back again to Spain by the end of the day.

Sounds and it was tiring (at least for me who had to do an extra 400km ) but worth it.

The SVX did what it was supposed to do, safely and swiftly, although I found it needs a new mid-pipe exhaust and the rear right rotor started screaming like hell each time I stepped slightly on the brake pedal halfway on our journey.

Hey Chris, will you allow me to publish a few pics from our meet here?

Tone
