A couple questions from a new member

Hey all, It's crazy to see how active this forum is for such an obscure car. I just have a few questions and if this is the wrong place to post, let me know and I'll move/delete/ask else where.

I've been considering some aesthetic modifications to my SVX, primarily a new bumper (or body kit) that squares off to the ground better than the stock bumper, but it seems to me that http://svx-motorsport-accessories.stores.yahoo.net/ is the only website advertising parts and they never replied to my e-mail. does anyone else out there make or sell parts, or will I have to figure out how to custom fabricate everything for this car?

Also, are there any other southern California (Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, LA, reasonable driving distance) SVX owners that meet up regularly (or sometimes or ever) that I could come hang out with? I'd just love to see a few SVXs other than my own, in real life.

Re: A couple questions from a new member

There are very few aftermarket anything for the SVX, due to it's rarity, but a few more things have been popping up.

Can't say on locals to you... there is the Annual Reading SVX Meet in PA, and the Annual Dragon Alcyone Meet in NC on this side of the country, you're welcome to attend

Re: A couple questions from a new member

Do you have any links to any websites that sell parts? I'm primarily looking for a bumper that squares off to the ground a bit better. if not, custom fabrication it will be.

Well, both of those meets will go onto the bucket list, but it's a bit too much of a drive for me currently. maybe I'll advertise a bit and see if anybody on this half of the country wants to meet up somewhere closer.

Yes - I have bought a bit of stuff from Dayle over the years, sometimes he is on the road and may not answer for a few days.

Re: A couple questions from a new member

Hi there Spectreman17!
I'm Armando, AlcyoneSVX on the forum. I'm in Fullerton, just 20 miles south of Los Angeles. Every once in a while, a few of us meet up. Message me your info, or find me in the SVX World Network page on Facebook, and I'll let you know the next time we get together.
Both of my SVXs have Dayle's side skirts. The black one also has Dayle's front splitters, (although, his current run of them has fitment issues). My white one has genuine Delta Speed front splitters. Delta Speed, in Japan, is the original manufacturer of the splitters and side skirts. http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~delta_co/page01_3_4.htm
You Can also try Autostreak. http://autostreak.jp/?pkey=item_info...aker_url=delta
Good luck with your SVX! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
