Can you take some pics of that pipe you installed and talking about?

I'm on my third maf and nothing's ever changed.
The pipe I'm talking about is one of the two that come right off the exhaust manifolds - the two that go into the cat. There's a bulge in each one, just wondering if that's what you're talking about. The picture shown is the catalytic converter that both those pipes go into.

Your car has 3 cats.
1 in each head pipe... and the 2 into 1 cat. Sounds like a primary cat in a head pipe is clogged. Jim

obd1, it's a 92.. but there are O2 sensors in between those pre-cats and the main cat.

The OBD2 cars with the 3rd O2 will throw a code.
If you punch one... either replace it soon or punch the other primary soon, it will make the airflow uneven side to side. Jim

made a wtb thread for that pipe. If anyone has an extra one off a parts car, I'll pay top dollar for it.

I just started the car up to see if she runs better now cooled down.. no, not at all. There's an obvious exhaust leak along with what sounds like a box of rocks being shaken around, as it struggles to idle. I don't think changing a sensor or pipe will help me now

Sounds like it's time for a compression check on that bank.

What I would do if I were you is the following:
1- Take out the pipe of the left side and turn the car on. If you can still hear that box of rocks, then... 2- You should crack open your left bank and check it out. I just hope you do not have any broken valve in there
