Re: OEM amplifier question

Also the original “mash the throttle Power Mode” still works too.

Re: OEM amplifier question

Pin drilling the solder out is fine on single and double-sided pcbs - but be aware that with 4 layers or more drilling can tear at the internal layer pads and cause them to be isolated from the circuit - damaging the holes internal plating......being a PCB designer for past 35 years I have been asked to try and repair damage done by drilling with only about 10% being corrected.

Re: OEM amplifier question

Harvey,

I have installed the power mod ROM that you sent me many years ago, I have also wired it up to the JDM "POWER" switch next to gear selector - all working good.

A friend of mine is looking for the EUR switch that normally goes into the same location - by gear selector, saying "ECON" - do you know of anyone selling this switch?.

TIA

Re: OEM amplifier question

No Steve, I have never seen the switch. Although we have the Economy map in the TCU, there was no switch fitted, to the Australian delivered cars.
It maybe in the UK delivered cars.
