Fuel tank connectors or input plug
Does anyone have a fuel tank that may be damaged and still has the plug with all the hoses and electrical plugs intact which they would like to get rid of. I have a rather arced connector which makes my fuel pump turn off intermittently requiring a bash on the connector to re-establish a contact. I would like to replace it if possible. See attached photo. THis is on the inside of the fuel tank!

Re: Fuel tank connectors or input plug
I can't say for certain as the mechanic has had my SVX since... May but I think that connector is the same as for the windshield washer pumps on the bottle. Could solder/splice and they are everywhere in the junk yards (Imprezas, Foresters, Legacys are all pretty much the same).

Re: Fuel tank connectors or input plug
Thank you for that tip - I'll check it out. Possible part of the problem is the molded connector in the tank plug but this is possibly a lesser problem. Anyway i have had it cleaned up a bit so maybe it will last for a few more months. After the initial diagnosis of the problem (which was thought to be the fuel pump) and clean up of the connectors, it was OK for 2 years!
