I'm hatching a plan for my SVX...

I think it's paint and panel resto time.

My SVX has always looked good at a distance and in photos I take (I'm a photographer, so of course I make it work in my favour!). But in reality it's pretty shabby.

So with registration set to expire soon, I'm thinking of taking it off the road for further restoration.

But I've seen too many mates' projects never finish, so I'm being realistic and understand my SVX could go that way as well.

So as a possibly final send off, I hope to do a cool photo shoot with it, plus a track day.

I'll share any good photos and/or videos I come up with.

Wish me luck.

i think the expression is good looking from afar but far from good looking.

anyway, good luck with your venture, once i get the car more mechanically sound im hoping to have it in for paint and body work.

I have been thinking of the paint and panel job for the past 12 months - lots of little annoying dents. Also recently my front bumper is suddenly showing sun damage on the paint. Mechanically it is running surprisingly well!

We should organise a group panel and paint deal......

Good idea.

But here's an even better idea... Bring yours to me and I'll experiment dismantling yours so I get it perfect on mine.

If you panel paint a panel at a time. Buy enough to paint the whole car.if you do not you may not get a perfect match.

If that's your inclination, then there's a whole website waiting for you.

http://www.flamestone.com

As for samples, what's your preferred flavour?
