"Olivia" 5/91 1328, Spring baby, just like me.

All decent svx owners stay away from the vicinity of San Bernardino!

I've been collecting chips/dents all month long.
I washed the car today and found some rocks in the wiper area and I
KNOW they didn't fall off a tree!

Did the first SVX that rolled off the assembly have a vin 0000 or 0001?

Actually if the pattern goes for the SVX as it did with the cars from SIA the first SVX's VIN would have ended with 0058.

No upgrade. Just a new filter that they fixed in the recall. How do you run on the original tranny? You drive the car the way it was meant to be. Take it slow, go at speed limits (+/- 20mph), don't race, do all the regular needed crap at a suby dealership that knows how to work on the SVX.

4EAT will last a while if you take care of it. If you drive it like there is no tomorrow, your tranny will not last till tomorrow either.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Midlife Crisis born on 10/96
VIN VH100332
GVW 4455 lbs
current mileage 55743

I thought that the weight should be around 3500 lbs?

GVW is weight when fully loaded (people/cargo/fluids)

...aka Gross Vehicle Weight

I'm VERY impressed by this. Anyone else?

(I drive very fast, and I acknowlege I should stop. But I get better mileage at 100 than at 60, for some reason. FYI 60 is 2,200 RPM, and 100 is 3,100 RPM.

That is true at 60 but that's only until the TC locks up...then it's 2,000 and mathematically 100 MPH should be ~3,350 RPM with lockup

To reiterate, 92, 66k 2nd owner, 2nd tranny (just replaced b4 I bought her)

So the last four digits tell you that its the #the svx off the factory floor (-58)? I'm assuming they come off consecutively, maybe not. When does a car get assigned a vin btw?

Mattski,
That's very funny. I named my '80 Triumph Spitfire "Mac" for "Middle Aged Crisis."
