It comes in handy when you have many apps open and you want to place them on separate sides. The really nice thing about Ubuntu is that they even send you CDs free of charge . The 3D cube (compiz) is of course, optional.

i really don't feel like learning a new operating system, and i REALLY like everything to be compatible, so no thanks.

i like Vista much better than XP. my XP crashed a lot - Vista is very stable.
