Re: Rotating Skyscraper?

When you get off of the elevator, go left if its in the top half of the hour, or right if in the bottom half... Depending on that, I will be on your right, or left...

Re: Rotating Skyscraper?

Saying this as a licensed Architect, I think the credit should go to the Engineers (structural, electrical and mechanical) if they pull this off. As a home owner there, I would dread the day the building manager tells me that the humming sound I hear means that I need new wheel bearings.

My current project is less ambitious, the ultimate garage for an SVX.:

...then is this an old story? You'd think the fact checker would catch one in the same place!

Aside from that... would the top of the Stratosphere count at all? The entire restaraunt level up top rotates... it takes 1 hour for it to complete a rotation. You totally don't even notice from inside until you stop and just sit there.

Re: Rotating Skyscraper?

Rotating top floors is old school. If it is a major city there usually is one. Atlanta, Georgia has a nice one. Kind of a neat experience if you don't drink too much. The Sears tower in Chicago didn't rotate but seeing clouds and birds flying below you was strange for this old country boy' and there was no way I was going to sit by the glass floor.

Re: Rotating Skyscraper?

An Italian architect? Screw that! They couldn't even get the leaning tower of Pizza right! JK
That reminds me of a ride called the gravitron. It's a round room that spins and the centrifugal force pins up against the wall. Good times.

That's what happens when some bored nerd gets into the computer that controls the place and sets everything on fast
