A record number of guests?

While observing the "current active users" feature, I see that on 8-27-02, at 12:30ish PM EST, there were THIRTY-FOUR GUESTS!!! poking around in here. The most I'd even seen before was in the teens. The record number of members on at one time remains at 61. Now if these guests would simply join up, we could possibly eclipse the old record.
I have no idea why this matters, except to Mr. Guinness & Mr. Johnson.
