Is your car a 92/93 or Later? THe module in the 92/93 is located behind the glove box. The module in the later models is behind the trim, in the trunk, and attached to the rear "speaker" deck on its underside.

Three things could be your culprit: 1) Your unit is simply "fried." 2) there are very few moving parts in the module. They sometimes gum up or oxidize. You can take it out, open it up and use contact cleaner (or, WD-40) to clean the contacts and also the connectors to the harness (both male and female connectors), then, reinstall (of course, test, prior to pinning everything back up. It's a pain if you've got a '92/93 to remove and reinstall) Oh, and while you're at it, you can replace the existing antenna with a heaver (only slightly) and longer piece of wire to increase the range of your remote. 3) The unit is not "there." There are some who've reported that their module had simply been removed by a previous owner.

I believe it's there......

I have a '92 and I looked under and behind the glove box and found a bunch of stuff back there.. I guess I'll tear it out and clean to see if that helps..

hmmmmm

Maybe I should ask before I get myself in over my head.. Which is the alarm under the glovebox?? If I'm upside down looking up at the bottom of the glovebox, which side is it on? I have stuff on both sides.. With my luck, I'll rip out the wrong thing then I'll have to put that back in and take out the other!
