Cool

Since we have a "highest mileage" thread, why not a "lowest mileage"?

I have a '92 (6/91 build date) with 46,000. Anybody beat that?

Jerry,

You disgust me. 46,000 miles! My wife already has that many on her 98 Forester. Had the thing out in the mud last Saturday by the way. A good deal of fun. My six year old in the back seat was laughing like a lunatic while we bounced around on the cross country ski paths.

Talking

<<You disgust me>>

Glad to oblige! As you can see, the Legacy gets the bulk of the miles - I figure by the time I manage to get hold of a WRX, its odometer will be over 200,000 (the Legacy, not the WRX! )

I figure there are a few '97s that can beat me, but I'm wondering how many '92s can.

BTW, sounds like you're having fun with the Forester!

You should have seen the fun I had with the 89 GL. I'm actually entertaining the idea of buying it back from the guy I sold it to last summer. When I sold it it had 247,000 miles on it. The Forester and SVX can't come close to its ability to go through sand, mud and snow. And because of how few of them there are it also turned a couple of heads now and then.

As far as piling on miles go the SVX bears the brunt in my stable. About 100 miles a day usually. If nothing else a very comfortable ride.

Apparently a result of the father's dominant gene.

Sort of. Around the house it sometimes becomes a struggle to see who the Alpha male is. Me, my male offspring or the boy cat. Of course when my son's Mom shows up it pretty much don't matter.

Know what I mean?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. As for the Alpha male in MY household . . . it's definitely . . . MY SON! He is about my height and outweighs me by about 15 pounds --- AND HE'S ONLY 12!!! His lunchbox is a full sized Frigidaire!

He looks like his dad, but he has the build of my Uncle Leonard, on my mom's side of the family. The Joneses had some hefty stock.

Well Aredub, if you were from Tennessee I'd say you might have something to worry about but just keep him fed and you should be okay. My son definitely takes after his Mom. Same hair, eyes and propensity to sleep late in the mornings. I, on the other hand, rise early. Must come from my baking ancestors who had to get up early to let the dough rise. There ya go, got me thinking about yeast byproducts again.

Stevebsy, you win an autographed pair of Aredub's zebra undies, WITH THE TATER!

Unfortunately, I do not concede victory completely to you, since you have a newer car.

Again, any '92 owners have less than 46,000?

Hey, Jerry. You're gettin awful generous with my drawers and vegetables. If you keep givin' my stuff away, I'll have to come to the Tennessee Meet nekkid. And you certainly don't want that. 'Sides, if I still had the undies and no taters, I just don't think a can of Spam would have quite the same effect.
