SVX raffle at 10th anni meet
I have decided to raffle my SVX off at the 10th anni.
SVX meet this summer. After a few e-mails and an approval from the meet organizer, Larry, I have decided to go forward with it. Now for the details. I will be selling tickets online through my e-mail. I have decided to sell them for $50 each. Payment can be mailed or you can use pay-pal. As I get payments, I will give out numbers, and at the meet I will draw one number at the banquet. You can buy as many ticket as you want as I will have a master list at the meet. I would like to sell 100 tickets totaling $5000. Now some of you might be thinking this is a scam. Not true. I have been at 3 Reading meets, and have sold many Subaru parts on e-bay and to members of this group. I go by the name of SVXPERT. The Car: 1992 Subaru SVX Liquid Silver with grey leather interior. With All available options, leather, CD power assisted steering, spoiler...40,000 miles on a new engine I installed 3 years ago. The car has 210,000 miles on the body which has no dents or scrapes. Tranny is fine and was replaced by previous owner. I have replaced the struts, headlight covers, rear wheel bearings, radiator, timing belts and water pump was replaced with the new engine. Every 3000 mile the oil and filter was changed and the 4 quarts of tranny fluid was replaced. This car has been repaired by me and a close friend of mine who is a Subaru Master Technician. Now I will be driving the car out to the Meet and can possibly drive it to the new owners location. Just think, you spend $50 for a SVX! If anyone has questions or want to see pictures, please contact me at: subarueast@yahoo.com I need to sell at least 85 tickets to have this raffle, so guys, BUY SOME TICKETS!!! After getting a few e-mails for tickets, I was wondering what kind of feedback you guys have about this idea? I thought it was a good idea, basicly because someone can spend $50 and have a beter chance than the lottery on winning something. But truthfully, I thought I would have alot more interest in this raffle. Please post your input to this idea. Thanks.

I might be interested. My little brother needs a car, and the meet is right on his birthday, and he's coming with. What better a present then an SVX? Although he does want a 4-door, but i dont know if my parents trust him with that many kids in the car.
But anyway, I think I may be interested. We can buy tickets at the meet right? Or do we have to buy them in advance?

raffle
<<We can buy tickets at the meet right? Or do we have to buy them in advance?>>
We'll I thought about that, and I was concerned about people being interested at the meet but not having the money available to spend at the meet. So I figured I would put this idea out a couple of months in advance so people could save the agravation of finding another $50 to buy a ticket at the meet. Thats why I would rather drive to the meet knowing there will be a raffle rather then depend on selling the rest of the tickets at the meet. But whatever works, works. Like I said, if I get 85 tickets sold the raffle is on. E-mail me for payment options. Thanks |

new idea
I had a club member give me an idea on how to generate more raffle ticket sales. I will now offer them for $50 each or 3 tickets for $100 until my goal is met. Thanks for this idea I would post your name but I don't know if you want me to, anyhow you know who you are. Thanks

I am guessing the answer is yes, but i will ask anyway: Do you have to be present at the meet to win?
I like the idea by the way, and i wish that i oculd make it to the meet. Paul |

sounds awesome.
i would love a chance to win another svx. please email me your address info. at cavaron@hotmail.com
come on guys $50 to win another car is nothing. hell at the least you could sell the car on your own and make one hell of a turnaround on your investment. where else can you turn $50 into $3000-5000.

I request that you change the raffle rules to assure that the winner must be in attendance at the meet or he/she is disqualified and you must pick another chance. That's how to eliminate "no-shows" at the meet. Thanks Larry III Last edited by LarryIII; 05-30-2002 at 10:23 AM. |
