The idea behind the logo was to make it mimic the original SUBURU SVX logo. From a distance i would look very similar to the official Subaru SVX logo, only changed to fit the event.
It would be using the same Eurostile/Microgramma typeface, only saying READING instead of SUBARU. The height and length would remain the same. The colors were picked so that the X would stand out slightly, but not enough to break the flow of the original SVX logo. .

I have come to the same position on this.
Trying to fit READING into the SUBARU space above the logo did not work as well as I wanted it to. Queensboro Shirt Company is now working on the logo (Reading on the Right) for me. Thanks to Jay "LetItSnow" for thinking outside the box with a fresh eye, READING and X seem more connected now. .
