instead of borrowing $600 how about $1200
just got back from a business trip in tampa only to get a call from my mechanic. the $600 bill has now grown to $1200. apparently my power steering pump is destroyed along with my inhibitor switch. the inhibitor switch apparently allows the reverse lights to come on......? anyway this guy is charging me either 9 or 11 hours of labor!!!!!! so i am paying $600 in labor and $600 in parts. i could not be more f--king angry.
what is really amazing is that at first he was going to charge me $475 for the PS pump and $119 for the inhibitor switch. of course i called subaru.com and got a price of $343 on the pump and $89 on switch. so this a-hole quickly adjusts his prices to $375 and $100 which i agreed to pay only because i need my car back. needless to say i will never go to these guys again. they are obviously taking advantage of me. after this time, never again damn i feel used........
