Re: T-Boned by a Semi at 65mph

My brother T boned a buick when he was driving his 91 Civic Si hatch. some old guy in the Buick decided to do a u turn off the shoulder of the road, when my Brother was coming along. The buick driver was off on the shoulder, and made a left turn right in front of my brother on the highway.

needless to say, my Brother fixed his Civic and still drives it. the buick is in the grave yard....

Re: T-Boned by a Semi at 65mph

When I was a little kid, my great-aunt was killed (along with all occupants of the car, as I recall) when a dump truck T-boned their '63 Ford Galaxie at an intersection. Somebody ran the light. I vividly remember being puzzled by this, as, at that age, cars seemed to me to be indestructible, like Tonka Toys.

Re: T-Boned by a Semi at 65mph

I was driving a 1989 chevy corsica 2.8L v6 5 speed when a grandma in her town car blew a stop sign coming over a hill (she didnt see it the sun was in her eyes) and she put my passenger side tire where the engine used to be...
I ended up on the lawn of the house across the street she hit me so hard.

Were you still in the car, or did you exit the car? If so, did you have your seat belt on?

lol, My bad, Me and the car ended up on the lawn, my seat belt was on.

She hit my car so hard that it pushed the entire car about 20'. Across the oncoming lane of traffic and 10' onto the lawn on the left side the road.

The most damage to me was caused by getting hit in the back of the head with a 12" sub woofer that was loose in the back seat at the time. It cut the back my head open.

LetItSnow:
Yeah it was not the most common option... It was my moms old car, my first car.
She had ordered it special from a dealer friend, she wanted the 4 door for the insurance reason, but wanted a 5speed with some power.
So basically it was a Beretta with 4 doors. :P
