Re: Black 4WS JDM at SoCal Nethercutt Meet

Am I reading this right?

K_Staff Translated

'92 VL 16000km . I can't figure out the price, is it really 228,900,000 Yen? Maybe there's a market for these things yet, 'cause that's a lot. Worth every penny I'm sure.

The translate messed up. It's not 228.9 million yen, it's 228.9 ten-thousand yen.
About 25000 USD. I think that's a good price for a fully loaded as-new-condition SVX.

That's better. Not that it makes too much difference to me. Nice car, somebody with the means should grab it up and bring it to the next meet.

Be nice Ron, and admit the truth.

Regardless that it's already been done, somebody turning up at the next meet with a 16,000km Version L car [yep, that's 10,000 miles or so ] would rate a little bit of attention.

But now you've put the challenge out there to top your surprise. That low mile '92 would come close, but I think the next logical progression is a flying SVX. Maybe Back to the Future II style with folding wheels. I'm going to start work this weekend. Where did I leave that Sawzall?

Actually, I hope that someone will do it, now that the road is paved
The more the merrier, as many SVX as possible, that is the goal.
Boring, well, okay, not really, everyone is still smiling, especially me,
but it could just be relief, getting there was a long and tenuous journey

Actually, the next challenge for me, (and the rest of us), and the next logical progression, is to bring the '89 SVX concept to Peterson. This has already been discussed, and the director will back it

I took one of the SVXes to a DeLorean meet last summer, so, I already saw the flying machine

By the way, Back to the Future is one of my all-time favs

Even better, someone showing up in a supercharged VL
I know a guy that owns one

Feeling good mate
Honestly, superchargers are exciting,
and I saw Joe's charger in the UK ,
staring lustfully under the bonnet, watching it run,
much like you want a look under the rear of the VL
